A 51-year-old Lake Zurich man has been arrested for predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and aggravated criminal sexual abuse, according to a Lake Zurich Police Department press release.

Jose Abel Blanco-Ruiz, of 75 Fern Road, was taken into his custody at his home on a $500,000 Lake County arrest warrant. He was unable to post bond and was taken to the Lake County Jail in Waukegan for a bond hearing, according to the news release.

In light of the arrest, the Lake Zurich Police Department is reminding all parents of young children to speak with their children about who they can talk to if they are the victims of inappropriate touching.

Advise your children that they should talk to an approved adult and that they should not keep this information a secret.
