Traffic Arrest — Leaving Scene of Crash

John A. Grossi, 20, of 1428 Eddy Lane in Lake Zurich, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident on Dec. 4. Police say he was involved in a single-vehicle traffic crash on Rose Road and Telser Road. Grossi was released on a $1,500.00 personal recognizance bond with a Mundelein court date of Jan. 13, 2014. 

Failure to Appear Warrant

Andrew R. Dalton, 18, 118 West Harbor Drive in Lake Zurich, was arrested on a failure-to-appear warrant issued by Lake County at 4:48 p.m. on Dec. 4. Police said Dalton was pulled over on Eddy Lane at West Harbor Drive .  Dalton was unable to post a $7,500.00 bond. 

Criminal Defacement  

The complainant reported at 4:40 p.m. on Dec. 4 that someone defaced the building at 135 South Old Rand Road with spray paint.  The complainant provided possible suspect information. 

Deceptive Practice

The complainant reported at 11:32 a.m. on Dec. 3 that a customer made a single purchase on Oct. 16, 2013 by writing a check drawn from a checking account with insufficient funds.  The complainant provided suspect information.  This report is under investigation.

Burglary - Motor Vehicle

The complainant reported at 5:38 p.m. on Dec. 3 that someone entered his unlocked vehicle during the overnight hours and removed sunglasses, a cigarette lighter and a stereo cable.  The vehicle was parked in the 800 block of March Street.  The complainant was unable to provide any suspect information.

Criminal Damage                   

The complainant reported at 2:43 p.m. on Dec. 2 someone damaged a Wicklow Village sign over the weekend in the 1100 block of Pearlman Drive.  The complainant was unable to provide any suspect information. 

Burglary from Motor Vehicle

The complainant reported at 3:56 p.m. on Dec. 2 that someone removed a folder containing papers from his unlocked vehicle during the early afternoon hours while the vehicle was parked in the 500 block of South Rand Road.  The complainant was unable to provide any suspect information. 

Driving While License Suspended 

Brandon M. Cardona, 25, who resides at 16034 W. Woodbine Circle in Vernon Hills, was arrested for driving while driver’s license is suspended on Quentin Road at Pheasant Ridge Road in Lake Zurich at 1:41 p.m. on Dec. 7.  Cardona was charged with Expired Registration and Driving While Driver’s License is Suspended.  Cardona was issued a Mundelein court date of 01-03-2013 and released on a $1,500.00 personal recognizance bond. 

Driving Under the Influence                                          

Timothy W. Gillham II, 31, who resides at 333 Grand Avenue in Lake Zurich, was arrested for driving under the influence on Route 12 at Cuba Road in Lake Zurich at 1:54 a.m. on Dec. 8. Gillham was charged with Improper Lane Usage, Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Operation of a Motor Vehicle While Registration is Suspended for Non-Insurance and Driving Under the Influence.  Gillham was issued a Waukegan court date of 01-13-2014 and released on a $3,000.00 personal recognizance bond.  

Driving Under the Influence

Nancy NMI Patrucci, 35, who resides at 1108 Jackson Street in Wauconda, was arrested at 9:20 a.m. on Dec. 6 for driving while driver’s license is suspended in the 100 block of Church Street in Lake Zurich.  Patrucci was charged with Speeding and Driving While Driver’s License is Suspended.  Patrucci was issued a Mundelein court date of 01-03-2013 and released on a $2,000.00 personal recognizance bond.

Driving Under the Influence                                

Jerome J. Zekas, 78, who resides at 3545 RFD in Long Grove, was arrested for driving under the influence on Buesching Road at Route 22 in Lake Zurich at 8:03 p.m. on Dec. 6.  Zekas was charged with Improper Turn, Speeding, Driving Under the Influence and Driving Under the Influence with a BAC Over .08 or More.  Zekas was issued a Waukegan court date of 01-13-2014 and released on a $3,000.00 personal recognizance bond.    

Driving Under the Influence

Perfecto NMI Villa, 40, who resides at 4615 Parkview Drive in McCullom Lake, was arrested at 11:23 p.m. on Dec. 6 for driving under the influence on Route 12 at Ela Road in Lake Zurich.  Villa was charged with Improper Lane Usage, Driving While Driver’s License is Suspended, Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Driving Under the Influence.  Villa was issued a Waukegan court date of 01-13-2014 and released on a $3,000.00 personal recognizance bond.
