Car Burglaries, Baby Formula Theft and Traffic Arrests

Lake Zurich police reports from the weekend.

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Lake Zurich Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Traffic Arrest

Manual A. Campillo, 32, of 224 Washo Drive, Lake Zurich, was arrested for driving without a valid license during a traffic crash investigation at Ela Road and Terrace Lane, 9:54 a.m., April 22. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond and has a court date of June. 3.

Efrain M. Garduno, 24, 1712 North Rose #1A, Palatine, was arrested for driving without a valid license during a traffic stop on at Routes 12 and 22. He was charged with operating a vehicle with unsafe equipment and driving without a valid commercial drivers license. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond with a June 1 court date.

Efin Rabinovitch, 51, 3844 W. Jarvis, Skokie, was stopped at Route 12 and Quentin Road on April 24 and arrested for driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured vehicle, speeding, disobeying a traffic conrol device, and failure to wear a safety belt. He was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond with a court date of June 1.

On April 24, Baiba S. Savage, 49, 2207 Fulle St., Rolling Meadows was stopped on the 900 block of south Rand Road and charged with operating an uninsured vehicle, improper use of registration and driving without a valid license. Baiba was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond with a May 4 court date.

Retail Theft

Police received a report of a retail theft from a business on the 300 block of Rand Road, April 22. The complainant stated that six cans of baby formula were removed.

 

Burglary from Motor Vehicle

At 7:43 a.m., April 24, police took a complaint of a burglary from a vehicle parked on the 100 block of East Harbor Drive.  Items removed were a GPS unit, a plastic telephone case, a checkbook and about $1 in change. The items were located by a person walking in the area.

On April 23, a complainant reported his radar detector was removed from his unlocked vehicle overnight, parked on the 600 block of Waterford Drive.
