Bond Set for Parents Accused in Starvation Death of Barrington Baby

A $250,000 bond was set over the weekend for each of the parents of 7-month-old Mya G. Edwards who died of starvation earlier this year, according to the Daily Herald.

Prosecutors said Markisha Jones, 19, and Gene Edwards, 22, formerly of Barrington, began feeding their twin daughters water, cereal and baby food instead of formula in November and would leave them alone for hours in the basement of their Barrington apartment, according to the article

Mya died in January, and the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office determined Jones and Edwards, who were most recently living in Bolingbrook, caused Mya's death through malnutrition from starvation, according to the article.

How could anyone, in good conscience, allow bond for these two monsters? We need licenses to drive cars......how about licensed child rearing?

Animals are more humane than these 2 punks. Prison is going to be a vacation for them; free meals, t.v., they'll have it made. What a tragedy it is that they will still be able to breathe air !!!!
