Arrests for Cannabis, Criminal Damage: Police Blotter

POSSESSION OF CANNABIS
Julianne E. Vanaudenaerde, 22, of 7 East Jeffery Avenue, Wheeling, was arrested for possession of cannabis pursuant to a traffic stop on Route 12 at South Old Rand Road. Vanaudenaerde was charged with failing to wear a safety belt when required and unlawful possession of cannabis (local ordinance). She was stopped at 10:20 p.m. Feb. 20. Vanaudenaerde was released on a $120 personal recognizance bond pending a Mundelein court date of April 5.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE

A woman reported that someone scratched her vehicle and broke the side mirror while the vehicle was parked in the 800 block of South Rand Road. The incident occurred at 6 p.m. Feb. 19. Officers recovered video surveillance of the offender. The matter is still under investigation.
WARRANT - FAILURE TO APPEAR

Andrew T. Thias, 50, of 612 Cedar Lane, Mount Prospect, was arrested on a failure-to-appear warrant issued by McHenry County. The incident occurred at 1:11 p.m. Feb. 20 after a traffic stop on North Old Rand Road at Pine Tree Row. Thias was transported to the McHenry County Jail by a deputy after he informed officers he was unable to post bond.
