Visitation for Nicholas B. Tkachuk, 80, of Lake Zurich will be from 3 p.m. – 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich and also from 9 a.m. until time of Mass at 11 a.m. on Thursday at St. Francis de Sales Church 33 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich. The interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
Nicholas was a Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus and was also a Kemper Scholar and retired employee from Kemper Insurance Companies. He was born November 28, 1932 in Chicago, IL and passed away Friday, July 5, 2013 in Lake Zurich.
He was the beloved husband of the late Rose T.; loving father of Rev. William, Catherine, Robert & Jerome (Angela); loving grandfather of Nicholas, Patrick & Philip; and dear cousin, uncle and friend to many. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be appreciated to American Cancer Society and University of St. Mary of the Lake.
