Services for Marilyn J. Hastings, 82, a resident of Lake Zurich for 25 years, will begin with prayers at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, September 9, 2013 at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich, proceeding to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich for a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Interment will be private. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, September 8, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m.
Marilyn was born on February 10, 1931 in Chicago, IL the daughter of the late Edward and Helen (nee: Hodan) Schroeder and passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, September 5, 2013.
Beloved wife of the late Theodore Hastings; loving mother of Kenneth Hastings, Keith (Michelle) Hastings and Scott (Debbie) Hastings; cherished grandmother of James, Molly and Nicole Hastings; also survived by many nieces and nephews; preceded in death by her brother Robert Schroeder.
