Visitation for Chuck W. Matheson will be held on Sunday, April 7, from 2 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 5 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich. Interment will be private.
Chuck was born on Feb. 1, 1943 in Miami, FL and grew up in Grand Rapids, MI the son of the late William and Dorothy (nee Hull) Matheson and passed away on Thursday, April 4.
Chuck attended Michigan State University and had also played on the Michigan State Football Team. Chuck’s devotion and loyalty to Michigan State was as strong today as it was when he attended there. Chuck went on to work for United Airlines where he remained until his retirement in 2007 after 36 years of service. Chuck was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War.
