Funeral mass for Edith E. Sparough, (nee Obermaier), 89, of Glenview will begin at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 1, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 N. Ela St., Barrington, IL 60010; where she will lie in state from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral mass. Edith’s son, Father J. Michael Sparough S.J., will officiate.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, from 4 until 9 p.m. at the , 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich.
Edith was born March 10, 1922, in Oak Park, IL, and she passed away peacefully with her five children by her side, Sunday, Feb. 26. She will celebrate her 90th birthday with her husband in heaven.

Edith was the loving mother of Mary Therese (Patrick) Walsh, Rev. J. Michael Sparough S.J., Tricia (Peter) Hupperich, Stephen (Pamela) Sparough, Tom (Geralyn) Sparough; loving grandmother of Kathleen, Michael, Joseph, David, Robert, Heidi, Kateri, Joseph, and Cameron; and loving great-grandmother of 10.
Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Sparough. The couple also resided in Twin Lakes, WI, and Sarasota, FL.
