Lake Zurich Detective to Speak on Concealed Carry, Friday

Detective Kurt Danielson to speak on concealed carry, Friday.

Detective Kurt Danielson of the Lake Zurich Police Department will speak to the Lake Zurich Rotary Club on Friday about the new concealed carry law.  His talk will center on helping business owners decide how to implement the law and the rules they must abide by.

The concealed carry talk will take place at the Rotary Club’s weekly lunch meeting at 12:15 Friday at the Holiday Inn Express, 195 S. Rand Road, Lake Zurich.

“I heard from a lot of business owners who were confused about the law and wanted to get more answers,” said Nancy Shepherdson, past president of the Lake Zurich Rotary Club and program director.  “The Lake Zurich Police will be enforcing the law and Detective Danielson has promised to provide us with some answers.

Detective Kurt Danielson has been with the Lake Zurich Police Department since 1986.  He has led the Citizen Police Academy for several years, most recently in 2013.  He is now assigned to the crime-prevention division.

Business people in the Lake Zurich area are welcome to attend this meeting.  Prospective new members may attend without charge.  For others, the cost of lunch is $14.  Please contact lzrotary@gmail.com if you have questions.
