Last Sunday, members of the partnered with to provide a barbecue for the needy in the Lake Zurich area. Members cooked hot dogs and hamburgers on the grills in back of and then helped dish out a hearty meal. Also on the menu were macaroni and cheese, fruit, salad, and dessert.
Emmaus House of Hospitality provides a Sunday Dinner every week for needy families. Dana Rzeznik, Lake Zurich trustee, coordinates the dinners along with a group of volunteers.
The effort was organized by Matt Perri and Dale Perrin. Members of the Lake Zurich Rotary Club who helped serve the meal include June Fournier, Joe McNamera and his kids, Rich Politowicz, Nancy Shepherdson, Jenny Pholz, Mike Rein and his wife, Bob Frederich, Craig Taylor, John Casper, Larry Ginsburg, Mike Carlino (who said grace before the meal), Police Chief Pat Finlon and Dee Lowe.
