Recycling Event to Benefit Countryside Association

First collection will take place April 6.

Safely dispose of recycled items and support the Countryside Association for People with Disabilities.

Items can be dropped off at Lakeside Center, 1301 S. Lewis Ave., Waukegan and Countryside Center, 21154 W. Shirley Road, Palatine (near Deer Park Town Center, the closest intersection is Rand Road and Plum Grove Road) at any time between 8:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Both locations will accept donations on April 6, April 20, May 4 and May 18

The following items will be accepted: computers, hard drives, laptops and laptop batteries, disk drives, processors, modems, keyboards, cords and wires, chargers, video game systems, stereo equipment and cassette players, small appliances, telephones, cell phones*, headphones, microphones, speakers, answering machines, printers, fax machines, and copy machines. Regretfully, we cannot accept microwaves, refrigerators, dehumidifiers, and air conditioning units. We can, however, accept computer monitors and televisions (32” or smaller) when they are accompanied by a $10 per-item donation that can help us cover the cost of recycling the item. Additionally, Countryside will offer pick-up service if you are disposing of eight items or more.
