It’s cold outside and the kids maybe getting bored. Why not try an experiment like making a banana hammer or freezing an egg?

The Weather Channel offers a few experiments, some require bundling up and going outside for a few minutes so be careful if you decide to try these out.

You can try making bubbles and watch them turn into crystal balls or hang a banana outside until it freezes then use it as a hammer, according to the Weather Channel’s website.

Then there’s a classic experiment where you throw boiling water in the air and watch it turn to ice crystals, according to the site.

Tell us if these experiments work for you. Share your findings in the comments or on Facebook.
