Punch Your Way to Fitness this Fall at Lake County Family YMCA

A new punch-pass system allows participants to create their own fitness routine for a single fee with no registration required. Community registraton for non-punch-pass fall programs is Sept. 4-7.

There’s a fresh way to get into fitness this fall at Lake County Family YMCA. While keeping core classes free for its members, the Ys in Vernon Hills and Waukegan have added specialty classes for those wishing to “kick it up a notch.”  In addition, a new punch-pass system allows participants to create their own routine for a single fee with no registration required. This new way of taking fitness classes at Lake County Family YMCA is available to members of the Y and the community.

It’s easy to do. Start by checking out all the fitness classes offered this fall at Central Lake YMCA, 700 Lakeview Parkway, Vernon Hills, and Northern Lake YMCA, 2000 Western Ave., Waukegan. Then purchase a punch pass allowing you to sample most of these classes as you see fit. There are several options including a 10-punch pass. To learn more about this, as well as the other programs offered this fall, visit www.ymcalakecounty.org.

Registration for programs not included in the punch-pass system, such as aquatics, opens up to the general public on Sept. 4. It’s the community’s opportunity to sign up for fall activities that encourage the four core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Be sure to act by Sept. 7 to avoid higher fees for some programs.

Members of the Y and the community alike also can stop by either the Vernon Hills or Waukegan location to get a variety of coupon savings this month – such as no joiner’s fee on a new membership or half-price personal training sessions for current members. These and more coupon offers are good though Sept. 30.

Wow, this story really shows how selfish some people are now. The person who complained to theRead More police better hope he/she never needs any help or compassion from anyone or any organization. They don't deserve it. You were trying to have a great event and some hater couldn't put earplugs in their ears for one night of their life if they didn't like the noise. So sad. Way to go for your efforts though! Bob
