Catholic Charities Seeks Warehouse Space for Adopt-a-Family Program

The Adopt-a-Family program served 15,000 people last year, according to a Lake Zurich Courier article.

Catholic Charities of Lake County is looking for a new 50,000-square foot space in the Waukegan area to run its massive Adopt-a-Family Christmas gift and toy distribution program this holiday season, according to a Lake Zurich Courier article. 

The space would be needed to make the volunteer effort, which served 15,000 people last year, a possibility this year, according to the article. 

Last year, Catholic Charities of Lake County ran its Adopt-A-Family program out of of a former retail food store space at 2231 North Lewis Avenue in Waukegan, with more than 300 volunteers working to make the program a reality, according to a Chicago Tribune article.
