The grocers signed an agreement with others across the country as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration nears closer to approving genetically engineered salmon. The fish would be the first genetically modified animal to be in America’s food supply, the news source reports.

The nearest Trader Joe’s is located at 735 W. Route 22 in Lake Zurich, and Whole Foods newest location is at 20281 N Rand Road in Kildeer.
