Parents’ Holiday Shopping – or Quiet – Time Facilitated at Vernon Hills Y

Parents of children ages 6 months to 11 years can get in a few hours of holiday shopping – or quiet time – on their own while the kids enjoy quality activities at Lake County Family YMCA’s Vernon Hills facility. The Drop & Shop:
Parents’ Day Out event takes place Saturday, Dec. 17, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Central Lake YMCA, 700 Lakeview Parkway.

There’s a fun-filled four hours of games, crafts, healthy snacks and more in store for the kids while their parents get in some last-minute shopping or just enjoy a quiet Saturday morning to themselves.

In order to participate, registration must be completed by Dec. 16. The fees for Lake County Family YMCA members are $25 for the first child and $5 for each additional child. Community members will be charged $35 for the first child and $7 for each additional child.
