Lake County Family YMCA Celebrates 100 Years of Community Impact

Lake County Family YMCA invites you to its 100 years of community impact Casino Night celebration beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at DoubleTree by Hilton in Mundelein.

“Many people don’t realize that we’re a cause-driven nonprofit that reinvests in the community,” Board Chair Bob Taylor said.  “We’ve had a presence in Lake County for the past century, starting in Waukegan, home to what’s now our Northern Lake YMCA, and more recently in Vernon Hills, where we have operated our Central Lake YMCA for the past 10 years. Our annual fundraiser enables us to keep the doors open to those in the community who cannot afford our programs and services that foster youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.”

The festive event will feature casino tables, music by the Jack Baron Quartet, dinner, and the raffle of a 2012 Chevy Camaro two-door CPE 1LT or cash prize. Winning ticket will be drawn at the event but winner need not be present.  Raffle tickets are $50 each and only 1,000 tickets will be sold.
