Rosalind Franklin University Health System’s mobile health unit, Community Care Connection, will be at Northern Lake YMCA, 2000 Western Ave., Waukegan, on Monday, March 5, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Blood pressure, blood sugar/diabetes and cholesterol screenings plus BMI (body mass index) and waist measurements will be available to persons of all ages free of charge. In addition, those with questions about healthy eating can get answers from the registered nurse onboard.
Note: The Community Care Connection takes its last patient 15 minutes before the close of each site, if space is still available. Screenings are provided on a first-come, first-served basis, and the available spaces can fill up rather quickly. So interested persons should plan on arriving as early as possible during each visit.
