St. Charles Quilt Artist to speak at NSQG

Explore the colorful world of Rachel Wetzler, a local quilt artist from St. Charles, Illinois, as she shares her personal quilting journey with her presentation “That’s My Story” on Thursday, November 15 at the meeting of the Northwest Suburban Quilters Guild at Concorde Banquets in Kildeer, Illinois.


Rachel is the winner of the 2007 American Quilter’s Society’s “Best Wall Quilt” and has won numerous national and international shows. Her lecture and trunk show will cover dozens of her quilts of various styles and sizes and the stories behind each quilt. Rachel’s quilts are characterized by strong visual impact, symmetry and bold use of color, complex original designs and attention to detail. Learn how her creativity is drawn from nature, faith, ancient ornamental designs and architecture.


Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for socializing and shopping. Quilt in Joy from Huntley, Illinois will be the evening’s fabric merchant. Cost for non-member guest is $7. Workshops are not available for this event.  This is the last guild meeting of 2012; the next meeting will be January 17, 2013.

We've been working with the police to make sure people know where they can park if the Pualus lot is full, and we're getting some signs to direct people to the alternate parking. They don't deserve it. You were trying to have a great event and some hater couldn't put earplugs in their ears for one night of their life if they didn't like the noise. So sad.
