Anita Grossman Solomon is flying in from Manhattan to share her innovative faster and easier quilting techniques. Anita is an award-winning quilter, designer, author and teacher and has appeared on HGTV’s Simply Quilts, The Quilt Show and Quilt Out Loud.


Anita’s Pages From The Make It Simpler Notebook will be the topic at the meeting of the Northwest Suburban Quilters Guild at Concorde Banquets in Kildeer, IL on February 21, 2013.


Guest cost is $7; doors open at 6:30 p.m. Concorde Banquets, 20922 North Rand Road, Kildeer; 847-438-0025. “Quilter’s Destination” from Arlington Heights will be the evening’s fabric merchant.


Anita will teach two workshops from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.:


 “Two Color Pineapple Quilt” will be held at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library on Friday, February 22.


 “Arrowhead Block” will be held at the Rolling Meadows Library on Saturday, February 23.

We've been working with the police to make sure people know where they can park if the Pualus lot is full, and we're getting some signs to direct people to the alternate parking. They don't deserve it. You were trying to have a great event and some hater couldn't put earplugs in their ears for one night of their life if they didn't like the noise. So sad. Way to go for your efforts though! Bob
