Culver’s of Lake Zurich Welcomes Community with Thanksgiving Day Feast and LifeSource Blood Drive

In the spirit of holiday giving, Culver’s of Lake Zurich will host its 10th annual Free Thanksgiving Day Feast from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, November 28. The event is open to the public, with all food, drink and desserts provided complimentary.

Culver’s will also partner that day with LifeSource Blood Services for a “Give a Pint, Get a Pint” community blood drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the restaurant’s parking lot at 645 N. Rand Rd. Persons ages 17 and older who have not donated blood in the past 56 days are encouraged to participate and will receive a free pint of Culver’s Fresh Frozen Custard.

Since August, more than 45 Chicagoland Culver’s restaurants have hosted LifeSource blood drives, collecting more than 1,000 pints of blood.

Several local churches will team with Culver’s to provide this special day of giving. The Chapel, Peace Lutheran Church, Northwest Family Church, St. Peter United Church of Christ, St. Frances de Sales and Long Grove Community Church are among those that will have volunteers preparing food and delivering it to the restaurant on Thanksgiving morning.

“Our traditional feast not only provides a home cooked meal, but also provides someone to share the holiday with for those who are spending it alone,” says Culver’s of Lake Zurich owner Steve Anichini, whose store was among those hosting a LifeSource blood drive earlier this year. “Serving 200-300 people a Thanksgiving meal always makes for a wonderful afternoon, and we felt that it was natural to partner again with our friends at LifeSource to make the day even more special.”
