Citizens for Conservation presents The Homeowner and the Water Cycle

Learn how to deal successfully with rainwater on your property, keeping the rain where it falls to infiltrate the substratum and replenish groundwater.  Join us for The Homeowner and the Water Cycle.  We will discuss groundwater recharge and the part homeowners can play in assuring that the Barrington area has a supply of clean water for their wells.  The program will stress actions residents can take to protect their water supply.

Our speaker is Kurt O. Thomsen, PhD, PG, the president/hydrogeologist of KOT Environmental Consulting, Inc.  Dr. Thomsen has more than 35 years of groundwater resource management and hydrological investigations.  Dr. Thomsen is the Coordinator of the Flint Creek Watershed Partnership.

We begin at 10:00 am but please come at 9:30 for coffee, conversation and handouts.  RSVP to CFC at 847-382-SAVE (7283) or cfc@citizensforconservation.org.  The program fee is $10.00 for non-members; CFC members attend for free as a benefit of membership.
