Kids' Night Out, Hula Fest This Weekend

Why Go?: Kids looking for a night of fun are invited to come to the Strong Kids Center while their parents enjoy a night out. There will be crafts, games and stories. Dinner will also be served. Space is limited so please register early. Visit www.fogliaymca.org for more information.

Pricing: $15 per child for Y members; $20 per child for non-members.

Where/When: ; 3 - 7 p.m., Friday, August 12.

Why Go?: Shop for locally-grown, fresh fruits and vegetables along with handmade items. The market will be held rain or shine.

Pricing: Free admission.

Where/When: ; 10 a.m. - 9 p.m., Saturday, August 13.

Why Go?: Join the University of Illinois Extension for music, entertainment, face painting, hay rides, petting zoo, battle of the bands and barbecue food vendors. Fun for the whole family.

Pricing: Free admission; $5 for parking.

Where / When: Brushwood, the former estate of the Ryerson family at Ryerson Woods in Riverwoods; 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Friday, August 12.

Why Go?: Chicago artists and designers present green art created from sustainable materials that explores various environmental concepts. The exhibit is free and open to all ages.

Pricing: Free.

Where/When: ; 6 p.m. - 12 a.m., Saturday, August 13.

Why Go?: Parents are invited to the Lake Zurich Flames Football and Cheer 2011 season kick-off party. Get to know Flames coaches and other Flames families. There will be a barbecue buffet, including grilled chicken, Italian sausage, ribs, slaw, potato salad, corn on the cob and baked beans. South of Disorder and The Disorderlies will be performing live music. Visit the Flames website for more information.

Pricing: $40 per person includes dinner and 2 drinks.
