Why Go: Enjoy the magic of the last campfire of the summer, roast marshmallows, listen to music, tell stories, make crafts and more at this family event. Experience nature at night. Enter from the west side of Green Bay Road, south of Belvidere Road, across from the entrance to the Greenbelt Cultural Center. Meet at Shelter D. This event is free and no registration is required.

Why Go?: Shop for locally-grown, fresh fruits and vegetables along with handmade items. The market will be held rain or shine.

Where / When: Brushwood, the former estate of the Ryerson family at Ryerson Woods in Riverwoods; 7:30 - 9:30 p.m., Saturday, August 20.
Why Go?: Take a tour of and then see a selection of short films out on the lawn, under the stars. The films showcase green design around the world. (If it rains, the films will be shown inside the Welcome Center.) This event is open to anyone age 12 and older.
Pricing: Free but a $10 donation is suggested and appreciated.

Why Go?: Every Sunday is family day at the Foglia Y. Open gym is from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and open swim is from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
