Get Antiques Appraised at Ela Historical Society

The Ela Historical Society will host its second annual antique appraisal event, starting at 2 p.m., Sunday, May 20.

The antique appraisal event will feature certified appraiser Penny Welch from The Emporium in Long Grove. People can bring in their antique treasure or collection, excluding art and furniture, for Welch to examine.

The antique appraisal event is open to the public. Items can be appraised for just a $5 donation to the Ela Historical Society, 95 E. Main St. There is a maximum of two items per person.


The Ela Historical Society is open Thursdays from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Visitors can see a variety of historical items donated by local residents, including books, old family photos and military uniforms.
