Ela Area Public Library Offers Voice-over for Kids

Preschool dance and Valentine craft programs planned for February

Introduction to Voice-over for Kids and Adults

Windy City Voice talents Kathy Poelker and David  Lecinski will present two workshops on the voice-over industry on Saturday, Jan. 26 at the Ela Area Public Library. Kids in grades 3-7 will have the opportunity to practice a script, make appropriate vocal choices, rehearse with other voices and get “on mic” to record during the “Kids on Mic!” workshop from 10 a.m.-noon. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and the child must read fluently with a little practice. Class is limited to 20 children.

Beginning at 1 p.m., the second session is geared for teens in grades 8 and older and adults. Learn about the voice-over industry, analyze a script, make appropriate vocal choices, rehearse with class participants and actually get “on mic” to record lines. Participants in both sessions will receive an emailed review and evaluation of their performance.

hey, i have listened to Kathy Poelker and David Lecinski presentation, they are really awesome artist.Voice over industry is booming now a days. This work is not so difficult just find out about the voice-over market, review any piece of software or script, produce appropriate oral alternatives, put into practice together with course contributors and in actual fact find “on mic” for you to document outlines.I took help from one voice over service provider, it is quite good. its website is http://marusia.co/
