Low Job Growth Predicted for Lake County

Job growth in Lake County could be scarce in the next few years, a recent study shows. It is predicted to be at only 0.7 percent.

Lake County is expected to have verylow job growth over the next several years, according to a recent analysis published in Forbes. Research firm Moody Analytics looked at metro areas, and tried to determine their job growth through 2015. They predicted that Lake County would have very low job growth.

Lake County was predicted to be one of the bottom 10 areas for job growth out of the 200 metro areas compiled, ranking at 197th. The analysis predicted it would have 0.7 percent job growth. It was the only Illinois area in the bottom 10. Areas of Texas showed the best projects for job growth in the country, with several cities in the top.
