Long Grove Art & Wine Fest

Saturday, Aug. 18, and Sunday, Aug. 19, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Come visit Historic Long Grove and shop amongst 100+ fine artists from across the country as they showcase and sell their original work, on Saturday, Aug. 18, and Sunday, Aug. 19, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission to the Long Grove Art & Wine Fest is free. 

 Fair-goers will have the opportunity to enjoy and purchase artwork in a variety of mediums including acrylic, oil, watercolor, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, fiber, glass, photography, paper, wood, leather, metal and mixed media.

Artists are professionally juried and judged with cash awards. In addition to the artwork available for purchase at the fair, many of the artists take commissions and will make one-of-a-kind pieces for art enthusiasts. Original works have a wide price range, ensuring there is something for everyone.

Sample a variety of premium wines at the fest. The festival also includes musical entertainment, food and refreshments.

Saturday, Aug. 18, 8 a.m. to noon

Rte. 22, ¼ mile east of Quentin Rd.

Fresh organically grown produce will be available fro $3 per pound at . First come, first served. This fundraiser is an effort to sustain the garden’s current and future seasons. Zucchini and banana bread and raspberry pound cake will also be available.

 

Saturday, Aug. 18, 3 to 9 p.m., Crystal Lake

The "Blast on the Beach" is scheduled from 3 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18 (rain date Sunday, Aug. 19), at Main Beach, 300 Lake Shore Dr., Crystal Lake.

 officials expect this year's Blast to be a big one as the BMO Harris sponsorship allows free admission for all attendees. The "Blast on the Beach" lineup includes a water ski show, treasure hunt, fun fair, craft fair and Baggo tournament, to name a few.

Mr. Myers, a Sycamore-based Carribean-rock band, will play Reggae, Calypso, Jimmy Buffet and other beach tunes.
