THE VILLAGE OF LONG GROVE IS PROUD TO HOST THE 2ND ANNUAL WORLD TOUR

LONG GROVE, IL (SEPTEMBER 3-5, 2011)— After the great success of its inaugural International World Tour, the culturally diverse businesses of Historic Long Grove are proud to host the Second Annual World Tour. Everyone is invited to come celebrate Historic Long Grove’s multinational diversity this Labor Day weekend, September 3-5, during regular business hours.  Various outdoor internationally themed events, live music, dancers and musicians will entertain throughout the Village from 10am – 5pm daily.

 

Visitors can stroll the streets and explore the rich culture of the shops, dine on international cuisine and enjoy the ethnic dance and music of the world.  From Irish, Scandinavian, German, French, Native American, Italian and more, the businesses of Historic Long Grove will be representing their heritage with in-store specials and treats. There will be Irish step dancers, belly dancing, bagpipe players, German oompah bands, Scottish fling, tunes of Polish and Scandinavian ancestry, and choirs and live bands. Ice cream eating contests, free movies, and kiddy rides prove that there is something for everyone. Bring anyone and everyone, as this event is all about trying new things, and be prepared to join in the fun experiences of other customs and traditions.

And to make it even more enticing, for every $25.00 spent in any Long Grove restaurant or shop, individuals get one entry to win a Long Grove Gift Basket valued at $1,000.   The more you shop, the better your chance at winning!  Shoppers and diners should take their receipts to Long Grove’s Visitor’s Information Center located in the Archer parking lot next to Long Grove’s new Sunset Pavilion.   Entries will be accepted from 10:00AM - 5:00PM.
