Easter Egg Hunts for Kids or Hounds; Free Weekend at the Y; More ...

Why Go?: The Easter Bunny has hidden eggs in 3 separate areas for 3 different age groups of kids from 2-9-years-old. There will be a special appearance by the Easter Bunny himself!

Where/When: , 1025 Old McHenry Rd., Lake Zurich; 5 a.m. on Friday, April 15 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 17.

Why Go?: Bring the whole family to the Y and go for a swim, play some basketball and use the Healthy Lifestyles Center. Please bring a photo id and signed waiver. Children under 9 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

Where/When: Long Grove Fire Protection District, 1165 Old McHenry Rd., Long Grove; 8 a.m. - 12 p.m., Saturday, April 16.

Why Go?: All-you-can eat pancakes, silent auction, raffles, music and fun for the whole family.

Where/When: , 150 W. Palatine Rd., Palatine; noon, Saturday, April 16.

Why Go?: The Palatine Park District is hosting this egg hunt for dogs! Dogs will hunt for eggs filled with treats and have their pictures taken with the bunny. All dogs must be kept on a leash at all times and must show proof of a current rabies tag at time of registration.

Pricing: $6 per dog in advance; $8 per dog at event

Where/When: , 1025 Old McHenry Rd., Lake Zurich; 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., Saturday, April 16.

Why Go?: First ever kids-only biathlon today at Foglia. Kids will run and bike and all participants will receive a medal. Bring the whole family to the Y on the nation's largest health day for children and their families. Take part in some fun, active family time.

Pricing: Free and open to all

Where/When: , 60 Quentin Rd., Lake Zurich; 4-8 p.m., Friday and Saturday, April 15 and 16.

Why Go?: All-you-can-eat pizza buffet for the whole family. Annual fundraiser for Christian School for grades K - 12.

Pricing: $5 for adults; $3 for children ages 4 - 10

 Where/When: , 1200 W. Algonquin Rd., Palatine; 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; Saturday, April 16.

Why Go?: Teams of deaf and hard-of-hearing students from local high schools and area colleges play do-or-die battles on the volleyball court. Snacks and beverages will be for sale. Sponsored by the Deaf Program at Harper College.

Pricing: $4 for adults; $3 for students with ID; free for children 12 and under accompanied by an adult.
