Here are our suggestions for some fun things to do with your kids this weekend.

Where/When: Lake County Discovery Museum, 27277 N. Forest Preserve Rd., Wauconda; 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Friday, April 1.

Why Go?: Celebrate the re-accreditation of the Lake County Discovery Museum by the American Association of Museums with free admission all day for all ages.

Where/When: Deer Grove East Forest Preserve at Dundee Road and Hicks Road in Palatine; 8:30 a.m.-noon, Saturday, April 2.

Why Go?: 5K run and walk, 1 mile youth run, 100 yard dash egg hunt with over 3,000 eggs, activities for kids of all ages. Visit the Easter Bunny too. 

Pricing: $30 for 5K; $10 for 1 mile youth run; $5 for egg hunt

Where/When:  Waters Edge Waldorf School, 150 W. Bonner Rd., Wauconda; noon-2 p.m., Friday, April 1.

Why Go?: Parents and children ages 2-5 are invited to experience a busy morning baking homemade bread, playing, participating in circle time, having a snack and watching a puppet show. Parents will tour the school, talk to other parents and learn about a Waldorf education.

Pricing: Free

Where/When: Here Whee Go Again, Ridge Plaza, 928 W. Dundee Rd., Arlington Heights; 9 a.m.-7 p.m., Friday, April 1; 9 a.m -5 p.m., Saturday, April 2; 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Sunday, April 3.

Why Go?: Shop for gently used children's items, nursery and baby gear, clothing, toys, outside play equipment.

Pricing: $1 admission per adult

Where/When: , 901 Dunham Lane, Buffalo Grove; 1  p.m.-3:30 p.m., Friday, April 1.

Why Go?: Activities for kids, museum exhibits, play cornhusk darts.

Pricing: Free

Where/When: , 14245 W. Rockland Rd., Libertyville; Saturday and Sunday, April 2 and 3.

Why Go?: Visit the newborn lambs and have your portrait taken by Jonathan's Portraits. Sitting fee will be donated to Lambs Farm. Call 847-769-0898 for an appointment.

Pricing: $50 sitting fee

Where/When: Meijer, 1301 Meijer Drive, Rolling Meadows; 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Saturday, April 2.

Why Go?: Sample baseball-themed food, free baseball-themed giveaways, meet Bill Madlock and get his autograph, live broadcast of WDRV's The Drive.

Pricing: Free

Where/When: , 301 Milwaukee Ave., Buffalo Grove; noon-2 a.m., Saturday and Sunday, April 2 and 3.

Why Go?: Live music, raffles, face painting, bike contest, food and drinks.
