There were many sights and sounds at the first day of the Lake Zurich Farmers Market.
The market drew a good crowd with many vendors. More vendors, along with children's activities, will be added as the season progresses.
Lake Zurich Farmers Market has been driven by volunteers who began working on organizing a market back in March. Even Mayor Tom Poynton helped carry signs and greeted visitors.
The market will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at Paulus Park, 200 Rand Road.
