Taste of the Towns Returns for 7th Year

Popular festival features tasty samples from area restaurants.

The community event of the year, Taste of the Towns is returning to Lake Zurich for the seventh year.

This fun-filled family event, sponsored by Grooms Insurance Associates, will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, August 25 at Paulus Park (200 South Rand Road) in Lake Zurich.

Taste of the Towns features local food and beverage outlets who will be serving samples of their menus.  There will be picnic and pavilion seating available. 

A sampling from each vendor can be tasted by purchasing a Tasting Menu.  The Tasting Menu may be shared by more than one individual, although there is just one tasting from each vendor.  Additional beverages may be purchased onsite.

Children’s Activities include a speed pitch tent from Go Hardball Training Center, Paint the Car with Casten Auto Body Shop and The Learning Tree will have games and activities.

New this year is a climbing wall and bouncy house from the Foglia YMCA.

The Tasting Menu pre-event is $30 each or two for $50 through Aug. 23 and $35 on-site. (Individual portions ARE NOT available for sale - tasting menus are the only way to sample food)

This fun, family event will also offer live musical entertainment from local artists including Trilogy School of Performing Arts & Deja Vu.  Music will be played on the stage, grab a blanket and enjoy. Entertainment sponsored Avalon Salon & Day Spa & Craig Taylor, Lake County Board Member.

At the conclusion, every person with a Tasting Menu will receive a beautiful souvenir glass sponsored by Melon Ink | Elegant Embroidery. Tasting Menus will be picked up onsite at Registration- all you will need is your name.
