Spring Into Summer With Jovial Junie

Friendly, petite and declawed, she'll make a great addition to any home.

I’m Junie, a fabulously fun and truly young-at-heart 13-year-old feline beauty.

I once had the luxury of being an animal control’s office cat while I waited for a home, but when politics and policy changed, I found myself going from relaxing in a comfy cat bed to the euthanasia list. Unfortunately that happens all too often with us “golden oldies.”

Thankfully Young at Heart Pet Rescue stepped in, and now I’m once again enjoying a safe and cage-free life with my fellow kitties at Best Friends Pet Care in Prairie View/Buffalo Grove.

I am a dainty girl, weighing in at just 7 pounds. However, the rescue made sure I received some much-needed dental care. With my chompers feeling so much better, it wouldn’t be surprising if I started putting on a little weight.

I love to chat with the nice humans who come to visit me, and I’m never shy about showing affection. I’m also front-paw declawed and a star with my litterbox.

I’m ready to be friends with everyone I meet, including cats, dogs and kids of all ages. I am a very healthy senior – no special needs – who’s been spayed, microchipped and given all the vet-recommended vaccinations. I’ve also tested negative for FIV/FLV. My adoption fee of only $55 is good for just me or pair of Young At Heart cats (approved adoption application required).

I’m a good girl who really deserves a lap to snuggle in during my golden years. Won’t you stop by Best Friends Pet Care so I can try yours on for size? I have a feeling I’ll be a good fit.
