Patch Pets: You’ll Thank Your “Lucky” Stars!

My name is Lucky, and if you’ve been looking for a handsome, loving, fun dog to add to your family, when then you won’t believe your luck! Because I’m right here!

Now, you might be wondering how I got my name. You see, it’s been my name my whole life, as I was a really well cared for and loved family member until my elderly owner had passed away, and a neighbor took me to the pound. Once that happened, I was scheduled to be “put down” because I was a 10-year-old dog who wouldn’t eat and who was starting to get sick.

Have you ever been to the pound? You wouldn’t eat either! And it was just a little cold! But that doesn’t matter when you are a guy my age. You tend to get passed by over and over again, simply because of the age they put on your kennel card. But Young at Heart took one look at me wagging my tail, peering through the bars of my cage, and there was no way they were leaving me behind. And WHEW, cuz my time was up! Once again, I was Lucky!

I spent several weeks at the vet, getting better, and now I’m a healthy boy again! And I am so loving and sweet! My doe eyes will melt anyone’s heart, and my coyote good-looks are sure to win you over!

I love love love to play ball, and I am good with other dogs. I enjoy a nice romp in the backyard of my foster home with my current four-legged foster brother, and then love to come inside, settle down, and snuggle into a comfortable dog bed. I really am enjoying my second chance at life, and now I just need someone who has been looking for a perfect guy like me. I’m housebroken, and love my people! I’d love to meet you and win you over!

I’d be an excellent companion for any adult home or home with older kids who loves dogs -- especially happy, playful ones! I’m healthy and already neutered, up-to-date on my vaccinations, and microchipped. My adoption fee of $165 allows Young at Heart Pet Rescue to help other older dogs and cats like me get a second chance at a happily ever after.
