Paddle Wheel Boat Took Residents On Lake Tours

What do you know about Lake Zurich's popular paddle wheel boat?

Did you know that Lake Zurich once had a paddle wheel boat that people could enjoy?

The boat was, according to the Ela Historical Society, "the most popular boat of the lake in the '60s, '70s and '80s." The wheel boat was kept at Nestlerest Park.

Ela Historical Society documents tell of an amusing story related to the boat. After a new person was hired to run the boat, "the new captain took his first passengers out on the lake tour and on approach back to the dock to unload, he panicked and could not line up the boat for docking at the pier." Dick Barrie, who hired the new captain, then "had to strip off most of his clothes and swim out to the boat and bring it and the passengers ashore."

Now for today's question: What was the name of this wheel boat?
