LZHS Choir Hosts Community Booth at Farmers Market

It was a trip of a lifetime for the Lake Zurich High School Choir members when the choir was invited to sing before Pope Francis at the Vatican.

The choir is already planning for a new trip in 2016 and will be hosting the Community Tent at the Lake Zurich Farmers Market to raise funds for the trip.

Every week, the Farmers Market has a nonprofit community group host the tent, selling pop and other items. All proceeds benefit the organization. This week, the choir will sell pop and CDs.

LZHS’s Choir has about 290 students enrolled and performs a wide range of music, from classical to pop to jazz, according to the Farmers Market Facebook page.

The Lake Zurich Farmer’s Market is in its 10th successful week. It is held from 3 to 7 p.m. at Paulus Park, 200 S. Rand Road, Lake Zurich.
