LZ Rotary’s Halloween Bash Helping Local Charities

This year's bash will be on Friday, Oct. 25 featuring American English.

Beatles tribute band American English will fit right in with the Lake Zurich Rotary’s 1960’s themed Halloween Bash when they perform on October 25.

American English will be sounding spookily like the Beatles at the Rotary’s Halloween Bash. The concert will be at the Lake Barrington Field House, 28156 W. NorthPointe Parkway, Lake Barrington.

It is one of the Rotary’s biggest fundraiser of the year and there’s a lot of excitement about it, Rotarian Nancy Shepherdson said.

“This is our third annual, but we are really stepping it up from previous years,” she said, adding the Rotary is expecting a lot of people.

The cost is $20 per person with proceeds benefitting Rotary scholarships for Lake Zurich High School students, the Lake Zurich Food Pantry and Special Olympics.  The Club will also contribute to Rotary International’s effort to end polio, an epidemic in three countries, worldwide.

Festivities also include raffles, silent auction and a costume contest.  Top prize in the contest is $500.  Costumes are optional but this is a chance to really live the 1960’s.

Tickets are available in Lake Zurich at Casper True Value Hardware, Holiday Inn Express, First American Bank or online. You may also purchase tickets by calling Nancy Shepherdson at 847-550-9156 or sending a request tolzrotary@gmail.com.  On request, Rotary members will even deliver tickets to you.  Business sponsorships also available.
