Koffee Kup is a Lake Zurich Fixture

Main Street gathering spot has a long history

The Koffee Kup restaurant has been a Main Street favorite since the 1950s. But the building goes back even further.

From 1909 to the '50s, Fred Blau ran a barbershop in the building. The Koffee Kup was originally an addition to the barber shop.

In 1912, Fred Blau's barbershop offered 10 cent shaves, 25 cent haircuts and free cigars, and each customer had his own mug.

The restaurant has had numerous owners over the years, but the Chudik family have owned the Koffee Kup since the '70s.
