Grab Your Suit And Head To Paulus Park Beach This Weekend

Paulus Park Beach is open Saturday through Monday for the holiday, and both beaches officially open for the season June 4.

Grab that swim suit and some flip-flops and head out to the beach this weekend at Paulus Park.

For the holiday, the beach, at 200 S. Rand Road, will be open Saturday through Memorial Day.

Beach season officially kicks off at Paulus Park and Breezewald Park, 125 N. Rand Road, on June 4.

“We are anxious for another great season and looking forward to everyone coming out and enjoying both beaches,” said Mike Perkins, parks and recreation director.

Swimmers and sunbathers alike can take advantage of the bath house and showers, along with a number of other amenities at Paulus Park.

For the little ones, the playground and sprayground offer a great diversion, while adults can enjoy the sand volleyball court, bocce and horseshoe courts, and fishing pier.

Covered shelters and barbeque grills can provide a backdrop for summer get-togethers, and if you don’t want to cook out, there is always the concession stand.

Breezewald Park Beach also has covered shelters, a playground, fishing pier and restrooms.

Residents and non-residents can purchase or renew beach passes at the Barn at Paulus Park, which is now open from 8:30a.m. until 7:00p.m. Monday through Friday until June 15. Saturday hours are 10:00a.m. to noon May 28 through June 2.

Resident season passes for a family of five are $60.00, and individual passes cost $30. Guest passes can be purchased in increments of five, 10 or 20. 

Daily admission is free for children 3 and under, $5 for children ages 4 to 17, and $8 for adults.

Breezewald Park admission is free for residents with identification or other proof of address.

Season passes for non-residents can be purchased separately for each beach. 

The Paulus Park Beach fee is $120 for a family of five and $60 for individuals.  Breezewald Park Beach season passes for a family of five are $60 and $30 for
individuals. 

Daily admission at Breezewald Park is not available for non-residents.

Picnic areas and shelters also can be reserved two weeks in advance at Paulus Park only. Different fees apply based on the number of individuals and resident or non-resident status. 

Non-motorized watercraft can be used at Paulus Park Beach alone and a permit is required.
