Ela Library Board Seeks Candidate to fill Vacancy

Applications are available online or at the library.

The Ela Area Public Library seeks to fill a recent Board of Trustee vacancy.

The term of the replacement position is January 2014 to May 2015. The volunteer position requires a willingness to represent the public interest in libraries and assist with policy development, financial management, local partnerships and advocacy efforts. Those considering applying for the position must reside in the Library’s district and be a registered voter.

This is a great opportunity for an individual who has a love of the library to serve the community and experience the role of an elected official. Board agendas and meeting minutes can be found at www.eapl.org  There will be a 2-year term available in the 2015 election, along with three 4-year terms that are expected to be on the ballot. The appointee may run for any of these seats but is not required to do so.
