Ela Area Library: Art, Language, Ask the Expert Chat on Facebook

Ela Area Public Library’s summer is off to a busy start with several programs and new offerings.

Get a Green Thumb
The library will host a drop-in plant clinic and Ask the Expert Chat on Facebook with University of Illinois Extension master gardeners. The experts will be on hand at the library, 275 Mohawk Trail, from 10 a.m . to 2 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 13. Anyone who can’t make the live session can use the library’s Facebook page to chat with the experts.

Library’s Art Gallery Features John Kurtz
Kurtz is an accomplished artists whose work has been published in many magazines and exhibit at various museums, galleries and studios throughout Chicago and Illinois, according to the library’s website. The gallery is located on the library’s second floor.

Nuevo! Mango Offers New App
Learn how to speak new languages through Mango Languages’ app available for Android, iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad users. Now, anyone with an Ela library card can access the language courses for free directly from their mobile device, the library’s site states. The website gives instructions on how to use the app.
