So what is the biggest community event that the Lake Zurich Lions Club holds each year? It's Alpine Fest, of course!
According to the Lions Club website, Alpine Fest started in 1942, partly to celebrate World War II victories. Local service and volunteer organizations started Alpine Fest, which was (and still is) held in Lions Park.
This year's Alpine Fest is slated for July 22-24. It'll feature food, games, a carnival, entertainment and a parade. The Lake Zurich Community-Supported Blood Drive will be held on July 23.
