The LZ Area Chamber of Commerce will host the 22nd Annual Business & Community Showcase (formerly Expo) on Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Lake Zurich High School, 300 Church Street, Lake Zurich. The SHOWCASE is FREE and open to the public.  Visit with local businesses that help create our vibrant community! 

If you are looking for new ideas for your home, alternative activities or organizations for your children, or simply want an opportunity to peruse all that the Lake Zurich are has to offer then pay a visit to the Business & Community Showcase.  The showcase is a wonderful way for you to connect with local business owners to begin brainstorming for your next project or, to offer suggestions and insights on what products or services you might want offered in the area.  Karen of Hawthorn Woods said “the Expo (Showcase) was a wonderful event.  I was able to meet local business owners who were available to listen to my needs and ideas.  After the Expo, I met with a contractor who installed a new wood floor for me and a landscaper who kept my yard beautiful all year long!  I was able to quickly build a strong bond and relationship with a select group of local business owners.”

That is what the Showcase is all about – connecting your family with the local businesses and organizations that support your community.  The business owners love the opportunity to converse with some of their existing and future customers outside of the normal business setting.  Rob mentioned, “I have known Janet for almost 10 years as my client.  I remember when she first came in for insurance, her first child was due soon.  I had never met, John, but they stopped by our booth at the expo and it was wonderful to get to meet and talk with Janet and her whole family.  The personal relationships I have with families in our community is what make my job so special.”

Throwing around ideas, meeting people, seeing your banker or insurance agent is what makes the expo thrive.  So is the opportunity to discover local businesses you may not have known about, like Debbie did.  “I had a security system monitored through a national company.  I was unhappy with their service, but I did not know who to turn to.  Then, I met Mike at the business expo.  I did not know there was a local security company in my back yard!  Mike and his team came out to my home, took care of our system’s issues, and set me up for monitoring for less than the big guys and with personal service to boot!  Now, I have the peace of mind I need and the service I deserve from a local company I trust.”
