Community Corner

Cub Scout Pack 964, from May Whitney Elementary School in Lake Zurich, show their good citizenship by helping their community.

Cub Scout Pack 964, demonstrated their core value of the month for November, Citizenship, by participating in scouting for food at the local Walmart.  The scouts asked shoppers going into the Walmart to purchase a few extra items for them to donate to the local food pantry.  The scouts, 6 yrs to 9 yrs old, collected enough canned and non perishable foods to fill over 50 large grocery bags.  Cub Scout Pack 964 meets once a month at May Whitney Elementary School in Lake Zurich.  The boys also meet with their individual dens (Tigers, Wolves, and Bears) one to two times a month for various fun activities and trips to local areas of interest.
