Piven Theatre Classes come to Lake County

Theatre classes to help your child find their unique creative voice through improvisation, theatre games, and story theatre

Clockwise Theatre is holding auditions for Captain Superlative by Jessica Puller, directed by Madeline Franklin, on August 12th, 5:30PM to 9PM. Callbacks will be on August 13th, 5:30PM to 9PM.  All parts call for actors between the ages of 13-17

Captain Superlative, a teenage girl dying of cancer

Janey, a young teenage girl who narrates the story

Tyler, a handsome, teenage football player. Also will play Caitlyn’s Father and Dagmar’s Father

Dagmar, a cheerleader who bullies the other students

Paige, a teenage girl who is often bullied

April, a pretty cheerleader. Also will play New Kid, Caitlyn’s Mother, Kevin

 

Audition Details:

To schedule an audition, please e-mail chris@clockwisetheatre.org with your name, telephone number, preferred e-mail address, and your preferred audition time between 5:30 to 9PM. For example: “I would like to be scheduled at 5PM”

We will slot you in a 15 minute increment. For example: “Your audition is scheduled for 5:45”

If a particular requested hour is full, we will schedule you as closely to your preferred time as possible. 

The e-mail notifying you of your audition time will also contain a PDF of the entire play.

Please bring one headshot and resume (or a photo of yourself which we may keep) and a 1-3 minute monologue of your choosing.

 

Production Details:

Rehearsals begin September 30th and are Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 4:30PM-6:30PM, and one weekend day

Tech week begins November 14th with opening November 21st, performances are Fridays at 7:30 (6:30 call time), Saturday at 3PM (2PM call time) and 7:30PM (6:30PM call time), Sundays at 3PM, (2PM call time). Please Note: There are no performances Thanksgiving weekend!   

While some conflicts during the rehearsal period are to be expected, actor attendance is required for all of tech week and all performance dates. 

Clockwise Theatre is a professional Non-Equity not-for-profit theater company committed to producing work by Midwestern, women and multi-cultural playwrights. Located at 221 North Genesee Street in downtown Waukegan (right next to the historic Genesee Theatre), all auditions, callbacks, rehearsals and performances are held at the theatre.

Please be aware of our location before scheduling an audition slot. We are five blocks from the Waukegan Metra line.

Actors will be compensated $12.00 per performance for a total of twelve performances.
