Presented by John Hegner
Music producer and singer-songwriter, John Hegner, will explore the possibilities for collaboration between creative writers and musicians. The program will introduce writers, such as poets, to concepts and techniques to get them started in the rewarding work of interdisciplinary collaboration. These concepts will be applied to spoken word/music pairings as well as songwriting. John will use recorded examples and live performance in his demonstration. Attendees will be invited to take part in an interactive portion of the program. John is the owner of Starbell Hatchery Recording Studio in Harvard, Illinois
