Ela Town Hall is the headquarters for Ela Township. Entering the building, you'll see the assessor's office to your right and the supervisor's office to your left. The clerk's office and social worker's office also are located in the building. The highway department is at another location within the township. The Ela Township Board of Trustees hold their public meetings in the building. A lending closet of hospital supplies in the basement contains wheelchairs, walkers and canes that township residents can borrow. The township also operates youth and senior programs at the Foglia YMCA, the Ela Historical Society, Knox Park and Knigge Park. The township boundaries include portions of Lake Zurich, Barrington, Deer Park, Hawthorn Woods, Kildeer, Long Grove, North Barrington and portions of unincorporated Palatine and Mundelein.
