Who Are These Football Players?
The Ela Historical Society is showing off some of its sports memorabilia to preview its participation in the Farm Heritage Festival.
Next weekend, the Ela Historical Society will set up a booth at the annual Farm Heritage Festival at Lakewood Forest Preserve.
This year, the Ela Historical Society is focusing its display on local high school sports. The Society's display will feature boards with pictures and stories about high school sports from the 1930s to the '80s.
The Farm Heritage Festival is slated for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 24 and 25. Lakewood Forest Preserve is located on Route 176 in Wauconda.
